Sparse Graphic Equalizer Design

چکیده

A typical graphic equalizer frequency resolution is one-third octave comprising 31 bands. previous design based on a least-squares optimization of the band-filter gains with single second-order section per band has an accuracy 1 dB. However, always uses all filters even when small number adjusted. This letter proposes sparse one-third-octave equalizer, where active bands minimized using orthogonal matching pursuit and linear programming before gain optimization. In addition, bandwidths high-frequency are dependent in order to optimize their shape relative analog prototype. The optimal bandwidth obtained interpolation during filter design. proposed achieves approximately same or better comparison state-of-the-art non-sparse can be used automatically reduce computational load equalization only some active.

Graphic Equalizer Design Using Higher-Order Recursive Filters

A straight-forward design of graphic equalizers with minimumphase behavior based on recently developed higher-order bandshelving filters is presented. Due to the high filter order, the gain in one band is almost completely independent from the gain in the other bands. Although no special care will be taken to design filters with complementary edges except for a suitable definition of the cut-of...

Sparse Equalizer Filter Design for Multi-path Channels

In this thesis, sparse Finite Impulse Response (FIR) equalizers are designed for sparse multi-path channels under a pre-defined Mean Squared Error (MSE) constraint. We start by examining the intrinsic sparsity of the Zero Forcing equalizers and the FIR Minimum MSE (MMSE) equalizers. Next the equalization MSE is formulated as a quadratic function of the equalizer coefficients. Both the Linear Eq...

Implementing a Low-latency Parallel Graphic Equalizer with Heterogeneous Computing

This paper describes the implementation of a recently introduced parallel graphic equalizer (PGE) in a heterogeneous way. The control and audio signal processing parts of the PGE are distributed to a PC and to a signal processor, of WaveCore architecture, respectively. This arrangement is particularly suited to the algorithm in question, benefiting from the low-latency characteristics of the au...
